We are an ambitious and growing Veterinary business, who want to be the best. To aid us in this, we have a new role for an experienced Learning and Development Manager who can ensure all our staff are trained to reach their full potential.

Based at our large, modern small animal referral hospital on Pride Park in Derby, there will be some travel to other practices to provide consistent training to all our employees, so that our reputation for great service and client care is maintained across the business. This is a role where you really will make a difference to employees, clients and animal care.

What will you do?

This role will see you meeting the training needs of all our employees, from a thorough induction, to ensuring that their career goals are met, and that we are developing our people for the future business needs.

As well as in-house training, you will also liaise with external industry training companies to fulfil the full range of needs we have, from medical updates, to support functions to customer service.

Who are we looking for?

You must have proven experience of identifying training needs and delivering workshops to large groups along with your L&D professional qualification, or related degree. The ability to build and work with on-line learning and development programmes is also essential.

Client care and retail experience are important aspects required for the role, as is the ability to see future business needs and execute the appropriate strategy.

What do we offer you?

We can offer a generous package to the right candidate, including:

  • 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
  • Company Pension Scheme
  • Performance Related Bonus Scheme
  • Your birthday off to enjoy as you wish
  • Staff pet discount scheme
